It was very early in the morning, and I hadn't slept yet, when I read your post. I plan to go back in the next day or so and flesh thid out with some links to pages here that deal with the same topic, and maybe some musings.
Life here, in our home, is sweet and largely peaceful.
When Jeremaih and Annalise hear my voice in their adult heads, I want it to be a voice that honors and supports them right where they are, not one that tells them that they are a disappointment and, somehow, not enough.
That's where I put my focus, and, when it drifts, what I bring it back to.
Right here, right now.
And that, and I, am enough.
I hope that you feel that about yourself, too.....

No, you are not alone! I think there are a lot of us out there and that's sad.
